Working Fire In Lindenhurst

LINDENHURST, NY - Just before 1am on Sunday, February 7, 2010 the Lindenhurst Fire Department responded to a house fire at 548 South Strongs Avenue. They were met with a 2 story private dwelling on fire.

 

Mutual aid was requested from Copiague for a Rapid Intervention team but soon after they arrived on scene, they were put to work and West Babylon responded in with a new team.

 

The house fire was brought under control about 1 hour later. The Suffolk County Police Arson Squad was requested to the scene due to the nature of the fire. Early reports indicated at least 4 occupants were transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries. Two firefighters were also transported with injuries from the fire as well.
